Lucky SsangYong Winner 'Pick-Up' His Prize01-05-2013
David Wade from York was delighted when he heard from The Sun that he had won a car in a competition run by the newspaper.
But this is no ordinary car, it’s a 2.0-litre turbo diesel four-wheel drive SsangYong Korando Sports pick-up worth £20,495, and as a busy practical man, Mr Wade is finding more and more benefits from having a large load area as well as five seats!
“I do quite a bit of gardening so this Korando Sports pick-up is going to be very useful indeed,” says Mr Wade. “I am renewing my fencing at the moment and will be able to get everything I need in the back, while my daughter is involved in the local Scouts group and I can see I will be called upon to assist with moving things for them as the pick-up will come in very handy.
“I was thinking about changing my Toyota, and this will be so much more practical. A friend of mine owns a SsangYong Korando and thinks it’s great,” he added.
SsangYong had run the promotion in partnership with The Sun, featuring a number of well-known personalities that included model Melinda Messenger, Tommy Walsh from TV’s Groundforce, rock star Alex James, and racehorse trainer, David Pipe.
Mr Wade was presented with his prize at his local SsangYong dealer, Brian Leighton Garages at Boothferry Road, Howden, East Yorkshire. Brian Taylor, SsangYong sales manager of Brian Leighton Garages and Adi Ryan, dealer commercial manager of SsangYong Motor UK, were on hand to greet him.
Brian Leighton Garages has been a SsangYong dealer since 2010.
